To join BSYC you must complete an ‘Application for Membership’ form. Download and print the Application Form, then fill it out with your signature and the signature of your seconder and post it to Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club, 246 Esplanade Seacliff South Australia 5049.
You also need to complete a ‘Subscription Advice’ form which is also used to renew your membership each year.
If you own a boat that you intend to sail at BSYC you should complete the ‘Boat Registration’ form. To ensure your boat is entered into the Sailing Program (a small annual booklet produced by the Club and given to all members) you should complete this form by 24th August.

Senior (sailing) $550 Persons over the age of 18 who wish to sail
Senior (non sailing) $310 Persons over the age of 18 who do not wish to sail
Life (sailing) $145 Elected Life Members who wish to sail
Life (non sailing) Nil Elected Life Members who do not wish to sail
Permanent (sailing) $215 This category is unavailable to new or existing members of any other category
Permanent (non sailing) Nil This category is unavailable to new or existing members of any other category
Concession $270 This category is available to Senior Sailing members who are:
Social $20 Community/public members who want to be associated with BSYC with some member benefits
Supporting $70 Persons over 18 that don't wish to sail, this membership includes the right to serve on Club sub committees, Yachting Australia registration and 3 sail entries
Junior $225 Persons under the age of 18 as at 1st May in the current year
Affiliate $255 Persons who are financial members of another sailing club affiliated to Yachting Australia
Temporary Nil Persons participating in training or other events organised by the Club
Family 10% discount individuals within a family group may jointly apply for membership of all eligible categories provided that at least 2 are sailing members. Fees include GST, and for sailing categories, nomination fees, YSA levy and rescue boat levy
Voting Rights
Extended to all Life Members, all Senior Members and all Permanent Members
First Year Membership
Each first time sailing member is entitled to a 50% discount off their first year’s subscription excluding the YSA component
Learn To Sail Participants
People who have completed a BSYC Learn To Sail course may continue to sail for free during the rest of the current season but do not receive any further benefits
Family Members
Receive 10% discount off their total fees so long as there are 2 sailing members
Junior Members
Includes participation in Saturday morning volunteer run coaching clinics
Function Centre
All members are entitled to a 20% discount off the normal price of hiring either the Upper Deck or Mariners Bar for a private function
Membership Card
All members are issued with a membership card with which can be used to obtain a 10% discount off the full price of meals purchased for themselves and their guests at the bistro.
